Victory Reef Max Depth: 35-90ft. Victory Reef is most often done as the second dive of the day on a Cat Cay trip. Usually following either Tuna Alley or The Nodules. Although, with a max depth of 90 feet it can certainly stand on it's own as the first/premiere dive of the day. Running north and south as a gently sloping underwater hillside, the shallow portion of the reef begins in 35ft of water. From there, the gradual coral slope meets the sandy plateau between 80 and 90 ft. When the current is running it makes for an exciting and effortless drift dive. Grouper, large Snapper, and Loggerhead Turtles are commonly seen in this area. On those occasions where there is little or no current, divers get a chance to explore the small channels and chambers imbedded far back in the reef. Regardless of the conditions, Victory Reef is a site that rarely disappoints and is often on our guest's "Favorite Dives" list.
