The Wild Spotted Dolphins of Bimini

A unique phenomenon has occurred near our Bahamian Island of Bimini. Back in the mid-1990's, a pod of Wild Atlantic Spotted Dolphins took up residence in our waters. The ongoing presence of these Wild Dolphins has given us a unique opportunity to view, swim, and interact with them in their environment and on their terms.

For some reason, in the wild, Atlantic Spotted Dolphins seem to actually seek out Human interaction. In captivity though, the Spotted Dolphins are virtually un-trainable and do not adapt well to a captive environment.

After years of research and exploration, Nowdla Keefe and the crew here at Bimini Undersea have devised a program which enables visitors to observe, interact, and often times swim with these beautiful cetaceans.

Wild Dolphin Adventures with Bill & Nowdla Keefe offer these unique Dolphin Trips numerous times each week as an add on to the Bimini Undersea Dive and Snorkel schedule. Trips are generally offered in the afternoon and can be anywhere from 3 to 4 hours in length.

If you wish to add one (or more) Wild Dolphin Adventures to your SCUBA or Snorkel package, advanced reservations are strongly suggested. It is not advisable to "wait until you get there" if a Wild Dolphin Adventure plays a big part in your vacation plans.

Wild Dolphin Adventures are experiences "In the Wild". Although we have an exceptionally high success rate of interacting with the Dolphins on our trips (well over 80% at the time of this writing) We Cannot Guarantee that the Dolphins will come each and every time. That is the nature of a "Wild Adventure". It is important for you to understand this concept. Past results are neither an indication nor guarantee of future results. No refunds will be given in the event that we do not encounter Dolphins on any specific trip.
